On the way to Kapadokya, we stopped to have a closer look to Tuzgolu, the big salt lake in the middle of Turkey. But the stop was quite short due to cold.
When we arrive at Kapadokya, the first thing that we did was to climb to a hill that was once used as a guard tower. It really gives a nice view of the area.
The same hill, but this time the beautiful scenery behind us excluded, so that you can stop looking at it, and see us.
After our tiring climb to the hill, we really needed something good to eat, so here we are.
If you are in Kapadokya, you cannot keep yourself from buying some very fine ceramic goods. The shop owners are kind enough to arrange a little show in which they make a 'testi'. They even let you try the same.
Let's take a photo before the shop owner wants the hats back!
The hotel that we stayed in Kapadokya had such a nice, historical restaurant building that we want to include it in our memories permanently.
After Kapadokya, we visited Ihlara Valley. Before going down to the valley, we had a nice lunch.
This photo was taken at the bottom of the valley, which can be reached using a stairway with hundreds of steps.
We decided not to use the stairs to go back, but it did not work!
